Registration Information – Spring 2024 Semester
 

XAVIER UNIVERSITY WILL NOT CONDUCT AN ONSITE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR THE SPRING 2024 SEMESTER 

 

Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January 5th (Registration continued online for returning students) 

Monday, January 8th  - Spring 2024 Classes Begin 

Last day to register for Spring 2024 – Late Registration will continue through Wednesday, January 25th    

A $100.00 Late Fee applies for continuing students through January 10th.  Starting Monday, January 23rd all students registering late will be assessed the $100. 00 Fee. 

 

ALL NEW FRESHMEN AND NEW TRANSFER STUDENTS MUST REGISTER WITH THEIR ADVISORS. Please note, new students will not be required to pay a $100 late registration fee before January 23rd. 

ALL RETURNING FRESHMEN, DECIDING/DECIDING NON SCIENCE MAJORS, ENGLISH MAJORS , MUSIC MAJORS and READMITTED STUDENTS:  

YOU MUST OBTAIN YOUR ALTERNATE PIN # FROM YOUR ADVISOR PRIOR TO LOGGING INTO BANNER WEB. 

ALL DEGREE STUDENTS MUST contact their advisors BEFORE enrolling in classes. Students will be required to state that an advisor has approved all courses. Proper course selections are ultimately the responsibility of the student. (Please see curriculum requirements in the 2023-2024 University Catalog)

  • Office of Admissions 

The Office of Admissions can be reached at 504-520-7388. 

  •  Registrar’s Office  

The Registrar’s Office can be reached during the registration period at 504-520-6790. We are located at Xavier South Suite 630. The office will be open from 8am- 4:30pm.  

  • Registration closes at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 5th.  Those students who have not paid their tuition bill (assessment) or who have not made satisfactory payment arrangements will be de-registered (dropped from) all of their courses. If a student is not registered for a class, then he/she is not allowed to attend that class. De-registered students can begin rescheduling classes beginning Monday, January 8, 2032 at 8:00am.  
  • The last open period of Late Registration ends on Wednesday, January 10th at 4:00 PM. Students who have not paid their tuition bill (assessment) or who have not made satisfactory payment arrangements will be taken out of all their courses and cannot attend classes.

  • Request for password reset or other problems related to Banner should be sent to helpdesk@ngskmc-eis.net or you can contact the helpdesk at (504) 520-7446. 

 

Office of Fiscal Services  


  • Students who have been officially admitted to the University, scheduled classes for the Spring 2024 Semester, and are health-cleared must complete a process to be officially enrolled to attend classes. The process is entitled “Fiscal Clearance”. Classes will be de-registered on January 5, 2024, at 4:30 pm.
  • Our records indicate that you have a class schedule for the Spring 2024 Semester which has generated the attached Student Fee Billing Form. In order to be Fiscally Cleared, you must be health-cleared and pay the required minimum payment as indicated on your Student Fee Bill.
  • The required minimum payment can be processed utilizing the secure online payment system (CASHNet) which accepts credit card and personal check payments. For access to the CASHNet site go to plmt.ngskmc-eis.net under Online Resources (Banner Web) and select the Tuition & Fees Online Payment Option.
  • Additional information regarding the Installment Payment Plan and remaining balance due dates is attached.
  • For reprints or updated copies of your Student Fee Billing Form (if you recently accepted your financial aid), please utilize the following steps: - Go to plmt.ngskmc-eis.net.
  • Go to plmt.ngskmc-eis.net. 
  • Click on MY XULA. 
  • Enter Username & Password. 
  • Select Banner Web. 
  • Click on Student & Financial Aid. 
  • Select Registration and then Check Your Registration Status. 
  • Enter Spring 2024 and click Submit. 
  • Scroll down to the Hyperlink that states: Click here to view details ….. 
  • Please note:
  • If your minimum required payment is zero or negative and you are health cleared, you will automatically be fiscally cleared by the Office of Student Accounts on or before January 5, 2024.
  • (NEW STUDENTS for the Spring 2024 Semester ONLY) Health Insurance: Students who are covered by their family insurance may be able to waive the University’s sponsored health insurance. Students will receive an email from gallaherstudent.com when the site is open for the waiver process. Save your confirmation number. Students who do not waive the health insurance will be responsible for the $928.00 Health Insurance charge.
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): Under FERPA, students have the right to inspect or review their Student Account and decide if a third person (parent, relative, guardian, etc.) can obtain information about their account. In order for the Office of Fiscal Services to discuss your account with your parent and/or guardian, you must complete an online FERPA Authorization Form. The online FERPA form can be accessed by logging in to Banner Web and selecting Manage FERPA Contacts.

  • The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships 

    • If you have an award offer that has not been accepted: Go to your Banner Web and make a decision on your award offer. Contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts for fiscal clearance.
    • If your FAFSA is not complete: You will receive an email with an estimated eligibility    notification    (estimated award). Contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts.

     

    • If you have completed your FAFSA and have not been awardedor receive an estimated offer notification, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at 504-520-7835.   
    • Any documents requested must be submitted through the student’s personal verification portal.
    • If you have a Parent Plus Loan approval; contact the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts.
    • If you have questions about scholarships, contact 504-520-5212.
    • Note: If you were offered a scholarship and do not see it on your award, the Office of Fiscal Services/Student Accounts has access to view your scholarship offer.
